Notification of New Google Form Submissions

Depending on the purpose of your Google Form, you might occasionally need to be notified when a new submission is made. There is an add-on for these occurrences: Form Notifications. If other people make submissions on a shared form, if the form is accessed at random times, or even when the form is one that you do not regularly check, a heads-up email can be a life saver. You will install this add-on on the Edit View of your form, not on the Spreadsheet View of responses. Want step by step directions?

1) From your form's Edit View, click on Add-ons in the Google Toolbar

2) Click on Get Add-ons

3) Type Notifications in the search box and choose Form Notifications

4) Click on the blue Free button

5) Accept the terms

6) Go back to Add-ons and select Form Notifications

7) From Form Notifications, choose Configure notifications

8) Select Notify Me, double check your email address, and Save

From now on, anytime a new submission is made to the form, by anyone, you will be notified via email. If you happen to install this add-on on a form that you no longer want notifications for, simply uncheck the Notify me box. Enjoy!
