Viewing the Copy of Your Responses from Google Forms

When filling out a Google Form that is only available within our seminole.k12.tx.us domain, you might have noticed the option to have your responses sent to you. This is a great option - IF the responses actually show up on the email Google sends you. Unfortunately, Outlook occasionally displays a blank response. If this happens to you, just click the "Reply" option on your email. For some unknown, magical reason - the "reply email" will display your responses. I'm sure it's not really magical, and it's probably even known, but for whatever reason, it works. You can save or file the email for later viewing, email it to yourself, or simply click "Discard" at the top. This process doesn't work for students. Their email addresses are through Gaggle, not through their domain login, so their responses would end up in the black hole of fake internet addresses. Password For X-Mirage

For anyone using X-Mirage, be aware that students (and onery teachers) sometimes get a kick out of mirroring to your computer. You might want to consider adding a password to keep out pranksters. The password can be set in 3 very simple steps. Click on the image below for instructions.

Save As Doc Add-On

The Save As Doc Add-On is for Google Sheets. Use it on the responses sheet of a Form to display your responses as a document rather than cells on a spreadsheet. This Add-On has been saving lives for a while now, but with more and more people using Google Forms, it helps to spread the word. Grading responses inside of little cells is a job for Flubaroo, but when autograding isn't necessary, or when answers are largely open-ended, Save As Doc is the winner. Tuen those cells into paragraphs in a nice, easy to read and understand document. Cells with unwrapped text can be too small for responses: Cells with wrapped text can be too large: So, go up to Add-Ons. If you don't see Save as Doc, go to Get add-ons: Search for Save as Doc and click on the blue "Free" button: Agree and Accept all of the terms and services.
